Honda Vezel 12V Battery: RU3 Hybrid
The first-generation Vezel Hybrid RU3/RU4 uses a 32Ah 44B19L 12-volt battery. This is the small auxiliary battery used by the vehicle’s electrical systems. It is separate from the high-voltage hybrid battery that assists propulsion.

12V battery vs hybrid battery
The 12V auxiliary battery and the high-voltage hybrid battery do different jobs. A weak 12V battery can create starting or electrical symptoms without proving the traction battery has failed.
What to check before purchase
Check how the vehicle powers up, look for unusual warning messages, inspect battery age and terminals, and ask whether the 12V battery has been replaced recently. If electrical behaviour is irregular, test the battery rather than guessing from appearance.
If the car has been parked for long periods
Storage history matters to both batteries. Long storage can matter to the high-voltage battery. During extended storage, drive the vehicle periodically rather than leaving it unused indefinitely.
Smart-key battery is different again
Honda lists a CR2032 coin cell for the first-generation Vezel smart key. A weak key-fob battery is not the same problem as a weak vehicle 12V battery.
